As a Transaction Monitoring Lead you will establish best-in-class fraud detection practices, drive AI automation, and build a close-knit team of strong specialists. You will work across all card schemes and worldwide regions, with many legal entities and a diverse portfolio. Monitoring is in-house and largely automated, so your focus is on building, improving and leading, not on working through alert queues.

What you’ll own

Establish fraud detection practices: design, implement and continuously improve monitoring rules and detection strategies, including approaches for non-standard cases where textbook practices fall short.

Own the key metrics: be accountable for decline rate and fraud rate, understand what drives them, and manage the balance between risk and approval performance across the portfolio.

Drive AI automation: bring AI and agents into monitoring workflows, such as triage, investigation support, rule tuning and reporting, building on the automation already in place.

Lead and grow the team: build and develop a team of three specialists into a cohesive, high-performing unit with clear ownership and a strong culture of collaboration.

Manage scheme requirements: work with Visa and Mastercard monitoring programmes, thresholds and risk indicators, and handle investigations and escalations.

Report with clarity: give management a clear, timely and factual view of portfolio risk, including the difficult news, together with a proposed response.

Partner across the company: work closely with Sales, Compliance, Engineering and other teams to turn risk insight into action.
